MMSA to start Chapter of National Honors Society
10th-12th grade students with a 3.0 GPA or higher can apply to join this prestigious organization
By Mariah Coleman '11
Marine Math and Science Academy will soon be offering a chance to join the National Honor Society (NHS). Once NHS is up and running, students in NHS will create and implement at least one service learning opportunity per semester. Furthermore, each student will continue to work on earning service learning hours by fully participating with at least two outside organizations. Students have the opportunity to be part of a nationally recognized organization that will offer the opportunity for a variety of scholarships and unique experiences. Plus, being a NHS member is a good selling point when applying for college!
